About

I build the platforms that investment teams depend on every day — and the engineering organizations that can keep building them reliably.

For the past 12 years at Wellington Management, I have served as principal architect and platform strategist at the center of enterprise investment technology. My work spans the full spectrum: owning cross-asset platform architecture, leading engineering teams, defining multi-year technology roadmaps with the CIO's office, and pioneering the firm's adoption of Generative AI and agentic engineering workflows.

Before Wellington, I spent 12 years at Sapient Corporation delivering complex systems across financial services and energy — trading gateways, risk platforms, regulatory reporting, and market data systems for clients including Royal Bank of Scotland, Duke Energy, and NY-ISO.

My current focus is the intersection of investment technology and AI: RAG pipelines, LLM evaluation frameworks, and agentic coding tools that measurably accelerate how engineering teams deliver. I bring hands-on technical depth most technology executives don't carry, and executive scope most engineers never develop.

Precise, outcome-oriented, and direct. I build clarity where there is complexity — and I will push for the right answer even when it is inconvenient. In investment technology, the cost of getting it wrong is never abstract.

What Sets Me Apart

01
20 years in investment technology — not adjacent to it
Every year of my career has been in, or in direct service to, financial services and investment management. I understand fixed income analytics, portfolio attribution, and cross-asset data at the level of someone who has built it — not just advised on it.
02
Architect-level depth with executive-level scope
I can design a micro-service architecture and present the business case to a CIO in the same day. Rare combination of hands-on technical credibility and executive operating capability — no translation layer needed between strategy and execution.
03
Early mover on AI in investment technology
Not theoretical. I have run RAG pipeline evaluations against GPT-4o and Claude 3.5 Sonnet, rewritten production systems using Claude Code CLI, and built the internal playbook for AI-assisted engineering at a $1T AUM firm. Current, practical, and production-grade.
04
Proven in genuine enterprise complexity
Multi-asset, multi-geography, mission-critical systems with real investment stakes. Alpine Mosaic serves 900+ professionals. Attribution systems process 1B+ data points. This is firm-wide infrastructure that investment teams depend on daily — not prototype work.
The trade-off: not the right fit for roles that prioritize consensus over outcomes, or organizations where technology is an afterthought to the business. Will challenge assumptions, push back on weak architecture decisions, and hold teams to a high standard. That's a feature, not a bug — for the right organization.
